Setting Up an Account in CAMS

Introduction

The CAMS system offers a straightforward process for users to set up their accounts. You will receive an email from CAMS in your inbox. If you do not see it, please check your junk or spam folder. This guide details the steps required for first-time login and password setup, ensuring a smooth transition into the platform.

Step-by-Step Process for First-Time Login

  1. Receiving Login Credentials
Upon receiving your login credentials via email, you will be provided with a temporary password along with your username. It is essential to change this password upon your first login for security purposes.

  2. Accessing CAMS
Click on the link provided in the email, which directs you to the CAMS login page. Enter your registered email address in the "Email" field and click Continue.

  3. Entering the Temporary Password
On the next screen, input the temporary password provided in the email. This password is typically a 10-character code. Once entered, click Login to proceed.

  4. Setting Your New Password
After logging in with the temporary password, you will be prompted to create a new password page. Enter your desired password in both the "New Password" and "Confirm New Password" fields, ensuring it meets the platform's security criteria. Click Change to finalize the setup.

  5. Re-login with New Credentials
After successfully changing your password, you can log in again using your new credentials. This concludes the initial setup process.

Handling Common Errors
If an error message such as “NotAuthorizedException: Incorrect username or password” appears during login, it means that either the username or password was entered incorrectly. Users should ensure that no characters are missing from the password or email.

Additionally, if you receive the error message “Username should be a valid email”, it may be due to an extra space at the beginning or end of the email address. If there are no spelling mistakes in your email, double-check for any unintended spaces and remove them before proceeding.
